Why all over sudden there are so many shares changing hands? What's in happening that we do not know?

British multinational oil giant to re enter Kenyan market after exiting in 2007, they hinted after signing a deal with kenol kobil,
earlier this year they invested millions of dollars in southern africa
" Earlier this year, the multinational oil and gas
company BP reinforced its commitment to South
Africa with the announcement of a five billion rand
investment, and an equally substantial investment
in Mozambique.
“We have the downstream, which is mainly in the
Southern African regions. The upstream is in
Angola as well as Namibia. We’re also at present
looking at Tanzania. In Angola, we’ve been there
for quite some time now, it’s been very successful
and so the upstream side of the business in
Angola is up and running. We’re very happy with
the progress that is taking place there,” said
Orleyn.
ie (downstream and upstream locked now looking for eastern stream I believe)
kenol kobil said they are no longer looking for a suiter
are the two now in courtship and they don't want disturbance?
if so as shareholders we pray that we will hear the date of dowery payment within the 2 years ohana said he does not want disturbances
in the same period 2 to 3 years Kenya is will start commercial oil mining courtesy of tullow oil another British firm.
I read more in yesterday's partnership than we can see, but as always the big fish will play their cards under the table before we know what is happening

@littledove. chema chajiuza kibaya chajitembeza.the moment you don't want to sell means the company values itself , means any prospective suitor can also see the value. and like u say, the BP castrol partnership + BP now coming back to Kenya. ( could we have a link for that) . There's more than meets the eye.

I'm wondering if BP do re-enter the kenyan market, KK will still be selling their castrol oils?

Heavy pockets hide and buy this share but you will never see their live bids.

PRIVATE oil firms will be locked out of the lucrative multi-billion government fuel tenders once supply is centralised.

The government wants state owned National Oil Corporation to be the sole supplier to all ministries and agencies.

In a letter to principal secretaries dated April 30, and copied to Cabinet Secretaries, chief of staff and head of the public service Joseph Kinyua asked all ministries and government agencies, to liaise and negotiate with the corporation for supply of fuel.

In the letter referenced OP/CAP.9/108 the government allows for existing contracts to run end after which the ministry or agency shall revert to the National oil.

I believe you are are horribly wrong on KK. No way valuation of KK is below 15bob. Even on break up value basis KK's property is worth upwards of USD 500m.

The steady evolution of KK's gross margin over the past two years and the substantial operating leverage created by the cost compression and debt repayments should result in Ksh 6.5 Billion EBITDA in 2015. Knock off Ksh 1B Depreciation and another conservative Ksh 1B financing cost and you end up with PBT of 4.5B.

I am still waiting on a Tax Guru to enlighten us why KK did not paid Ksh 495m tax when they have a massive Kshs 2.2 Billion Deferred tax asset.

Should KK make this Ksh 4.5Billion profit certainly the deferred tax asset should offset any tax payables. Even at worst case assuming 30% taxation KK should end up with about 3B profit which is Ksh 2+ EPS. This is my personal forecast.

@kausha, how is this prediction coming along? was the question on utilisation of the deferred tax asset answered?
