Centum has entered Kenya’s beer market with the signing of Danish brewer Carlsberg’s local distributorship contract.
The deal marks yet another milestone for the Nairobi Securities Exchange-listed investment company, which has lately announced multi-billion shilling projects in real estate and energy.
Centum says the distributorship of the premium beer, which is targets middle class consumers, is a strategy to diversify revenue streams and gulp a piece of the alcohol market dominated by the East African Breweries.

“We are targeting the premium beer market segment. There is space for growth given that Kenya’s per capita consumption of beer remains very low,” Centum chief executive James Mworia told the Business Daily on Monday.

With all these expansions they are undertaking what we need to see is profits and shareholder returns.
lets see how it will fight the likes of EABL,keroche and SAB Millers who have a tight grip on the market. Not forgetting there is also Heineken

Too much aggressive and ambitious expansion can be challenging sometimes . Maybe they have a super good strategy .don't rule them out . CK can be muscled out when he finds and opportunity .so don't rule them out yet

History speaks of itself.
CK might be propping up the company then sell his stake to a potential suitor.I don't rule out that move.

Yeah that is the one trillion dollar question as they are also stretched to the limit in terms of debts they have taken.
They are reducing their stakes in quoted companies in raising the money needed for their expansion plans.
That is why UAP had to go and K-Rep came in.
