When I was young it was only KPL running the show.
Later I have been hearing things like Football Kenya Limited (FKL)

Now can someone explain to me like a 3 year old how we move from KPL to FKL and now I'm told each one of them is going to run a parallel league in 2015.

Where will they get the teams to form the two parallel leagues?

Bone of contention is the amount of money Supersport is giving KPL for broadcast rights. Nyamweya wants a share of that money.

KFF or FKL is the incredibly incompetent organization that runs football in .ke. Football clubs on the other hand are organized under the Kenya Premier League. A few years ago, the clubs decided that they had enough of mismanagement and corruption at KFF/FKL and decided to organize their own league and seek sponsorship. When sponsors came, FKL wants in on the pie.

FKL does not run KPL, but insist on getting a cut of all sponsorship money. Remember how they killed sakata ball tournament a few years ago?

The is no KFF currently.
FKF - Football governing body in Kenya ie FIFA-CAF-FKF

KPL - The body comprising of the clubs that runs the league thus KPL is also the league that they run.

FKL - The new league that Nyamweya wants to run because they have disagreements with KPL!!!

The big problem is FIFA will always side with the thieves at KFF/FKL/

@Nakujua
FIFA itself is very corrupt. Perhaps even more corrupt that FKF and CAF. Sepp Blatter needs votes from each federation when he runs for election. So no metter how corrupt an individual federation is, FIFA will back them. In fact FIFA is the main reason why football in Kenya and many countries has stagnated.

I suppose FKF = Football Kenya Federation (Just like the 'defunt" Kenya Football Federation?

And if KPL runs and manages the premium league what work do FKF now do?

Is Nyamweya the chairman of FKF (former KFF)? So he started another "epl" like organization called FKL to run the Kenyan premier league?

Between KPL and FKL who wants to 16 teams in a league nd who wants 18 teams?

Nyamweya is such a nice fellow and ever so generous.Just this past season,he gave Shabana 15 points for free without kicking a ball....and that is how the league was expanded.Kenya is never short of very dumb individuals!Sad

Will new teams be formed to be part of the vacancy left by the Nationwide?
And where will the 14 KPL team head to?
Do they have a future?

The two leagues will kick off tommorow and FIFA sanctions will kick in next week. That's why Dr Wario is reluctant to act lest he be used as a scapegoat.

very funny, so who are the broadcasters - is supersport sticking with kpl.
I think that scenario will be good for kenyan football, I hope kpl pushes through with their league and fkf also - then we can gauge who runs a better league.
