Is this why the earth movers and trucks are moving sand with such lightening speed?
If God allowed properties in heaven, kenyan politicians would top the list of those with the most heavenly title deeds. They would even attempt to grab God's portion or try to bribe Him.
Greedy fellows...

From the article in the star, this land seems to have been grabbed all along the way by its different owners. First owned by a Kenyatta era PC, then he died and DGR as the estates trustee took it. No sympathy for DGR but that land should have reverted to the state

One can only empathize with the president. He needed a dirty person at the lands docket to keep the NLC under check, and madam ngilu perfectly fits the bill and has managed to paralyse the NLC.

But by the time 5 years are over, the stench from ngilu's kitchen will be too toxic and disgusting, it will almost be impossible for UMK to ever smell clean.

Choices have consequences.

@shocks, the two parcels are adjacent to each other. The star guys got their facts mixed up.

Also thought the same. Someone trying to hide something? "Tell a lie a million times and it will be accepted as the truth", especially if its against MPs and a stinking CS.

Horatius DGR is one of the best persons you'll ever meet. Sad jumbirii is shafting him. True he's had some shady KANU contracts, but this one was legit. And he's a quiet philanthropist, not noisy about it like Manu.

Oh really!

So taking ove the land of a deceased client is a legit deal.

I suspect that why the other thiefs have no qualms shafting him.

The land should revert to the state then they can sell it to the highest bidder.

Am sad and worried at this level of impunity. Hope NLC woll deal appropriately.Under the new Katiba.......can Uhuru do anything?

That looks like the case, grabbers grabbing from grabbers. For people who are familiar with political intrigues and land, the grabbings and counter-grabbings of 1991-1996 would provide material for a 10,000 page novel, leading to multiple titles, excised forests, court cases, murders, sentencing and imprisonment of relatives of then land commissioner among others.

No one will ever know the "real truth" in this case.

Why would a CS or MP perpetrate an illegality knowing all too well that their necks will be on the chopping board under the new katiba.

If there is a court case then I believe this grabbings took place before Jubilee came to power, only that they have let the grabbers to occupy the piece of land (acres of land)

You are making a very dangerous assumption that our politicians have brains and make rational decisions

There is hope...

Court has ordered OCPD Langata to eject developers and ensure compliance with a court order issued in favour of DGR.

Either to return land to a grabber who will keep it idle or let the grabber who will develop it keep it... that is the dilemma of corruption!

There is this story in our gishagi about a chicken and her adopted goats.

So this chicken was born but there were no other chicken around. I guess they had been eaten or something. So it got to following the goats in the homestead. So everywhere they would go, the chicken would follow.

So everyone in the village wanted to call it a goat as it seemed to exhibit all the behaviors of the goats. It ate the grass, drank goat milk.

For years, everyone thought it had changed to a goat. But alas!

One day it laid an egg. Promptly it started exhibiting the behaviors of a chicken and even stopped moving around with the goats.

The old men in the village had only one explanation.

Just because it was hanging around with goats and pretending it was a goat, did not mean it was not a chicken. Sooner rather than later, it was bound to behave like a chicken.

Tafakari hayo na serekali ya watoto wa Kanu.
