Good question everyone should ask themselves before selling.

Profit warning is enough to drive the over 10% drop. I expect when the results finally come out there will be little reaction if any

At sub 2.00 I bet I could buy the shares just for fun knowing the counter can't sink any further. What is the lowerst any share has ever sunk to?

Wealth erosion is monumental here. CMA should now just suspend this thing + operations should be suspended until a proper transparent audit including a verification of assets is done. I suspect a tyranny of alibabas. Sad Sad

Wait a minute.. There are people who are selling at 2bob?. i'd never allow myself to realize that loss, it's shameful, i'll just book it on paper and wait for recovery (if any).
Seeing is believing

Mumias did not get a bailout from Kamwana. Why not?

Anyway, let's see how much rot Ameyo & friends find in Mumias coz the more dirt, the more write-offs are needed even in FY 2015/16. Then the COMESA safeguards will come off. Will Mumias survive?

Yet, there is huge potential if Mumias can get its purchasing right i.e. cheaper cane [regardless of politics]

According to kenyas political games, mumias must die first so that somebody gets more credit by raising it from total death or collapse

Profit warning the day before the results announcement??? The Kenyan system is a joke! What's the point? Imagine a fellow who buys a tonne of shares on Tuesday, you issue a profit warning on Wednesday and release the results on Thursday!!! There should be a minimum time set between issuing a profit warning and releasing the results! Otherwise I don't see the point of profit warnings!! Does the management just wake up the day before the results are released and realize, oops, the profits will be down by more than 25% [or the loss will be higher]???

CMA should be categorized as a comedy club! Some companies don't even give profit warnings! They get hit with a small fine which they pay using shareholders' money and life goes on!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@Realtreaty Came across some interesting material on Sugar beets. This is by Brit farmers & millers.

Beets have their own dynamics. Very interesting

Video: Sugar beet campaign under way for 2014 http://www.fwi.co.uk/art...-under-way-for-2014.htm

http://www.fwi.co.uk/art...ace-hefty-price-cut.htm

Also, seems to be a concern of glut by the bigger/global millers, looking to cut production. Points to higher sugar futures going forward.

The counter still has a p/b of less than 1, assets are valuable and retained earnings could provide a temporary cushion.

Psychological value of 2 bob still holding, gone to 2.20 on Friday. A Dead-Cat-Bounce or a short term recovery?
