Quote:
“They entered the station armed with a firearm and crude weapons and asked officers on duty to surrender their weapons, but the officers resisted and started fighting back,” Kayole OCPD Ali Nuno said.

A prominent constitutional lawyer based in Nakuru County is reeling in shock after a woman he picked from a high-end nightclub drugged him and swept his house clean of household goods worth almost half a million shillings.

Sad sad story!!! Sad

Link: Nakumatt manager shot dead by motorcycle riding assailants

I went to the same school with this guy and he's only 27. Sad

Straight up assassination!

He was the Group Internal Auditor at Nakumatt Holdings. It must have been a "deal" that went wrong.

Sad

It seems he was just about to smoke out 'Eaters Cartel' at Nakumatt. Police should scrutinize phone logs of all Nakumatt employees who were within Nakumatt one hour before the murder.

A likely angle. Some job are too risky. You do what you are supposed to do and still find yourself in shit. And some people can do anything to continue eating.

In broad daylight: Pupils shot as rival gangs exchange fire

"Five children have been admitted at a hospital in Nairobi with bullet wounds sustained during a crossfire between rival gangs of suspected robbers.

Police who arrived at the scene collected several cartridges from the shooting that lasted for over 20 minutes, according to residents.

Police said the clash resulted from a disagreement on how to share booty from a previous robbery.

Detectives had earlier in the morning arrested the slain suspect’s girlfriend to direct them to his hideout in Dandora.

The deceased, Martin Njogu alias Marto was suspected to have been involved in another robbery in which his colleague was shot dead. Police recovered several rounds of 0.22mm calibre bullets."

Is it possible for such places to put the CCTV cameras closer to the face level so the public can get a better view and identify the thugs? Look at this CCTV camera footage for example

It depends on the specifications of the cameras. Some can auto detect and auto zoom clear images for distance of 100mtrs. If you have the basic cameras of about 700TVL and a range of only 10mtrs then they definitely need to be lowered and focused on entry and exit points and also the transaction areas where money might be.

Lol yes,Kidero installed the 10mtrs range cameras which can cost as low as 3k so together without the waterproof casings and additional infrared lights on the side, they can't go beyond 20k.The 10 cameras cost a total of 400m.

That makes alot of sense. Hata huko kwa kina @kiash they have been advised to put CCTV cameras at lower levels to capture faces and not the 'top of head' images that are 'useless" in identifying criminals. <<<RINK>>>
