I appreciate the rich varied professionals we have in wazua and invaluable advice that is shared.

My sibling completed form four last year and has come for help. In four two at a certain boarding school, he was introduced to COCAINE. since the school was "strict", they took small quantities mid week and weekends and could contain themselves ( a group of boys). after seco, the group continued to increase the dose and added other hard drugs but recently, some boys moved up and started injecting COCAINE. well, one missed artery and injected the dose to vein, went to coma and after two days, went to his maker. This made my sibling to realize the need for CHANGE and leave out the drug+company and hence the visit to make a confession. after much discussion, i learnt he has managed hangover and drug urges. apart from rehabilitation homes, any good professional counselor, physiachist, etc you may know?

@junior the remedy was (may be it is), to avoid shaitan. We are not told not to sin, but we are told not to go near sin (in Quran 24:21). Prevention is better than cure

Example:
- Do not start tasting the drug, it can get addictive and harmful
- Do not stay with woman before marriage.
- Do not go to bars and drink. It might turn into alcoholic

You're supposed to inject into veins, I assume you meant the opposite?

@swenani I don't know if it has helped him, it's only him to tell us. To me I don't think, I know it'll help him. Even yourself and your fish-mongering, it'll help you - see example (2) above.

But tell us what you think will help @junior. Your opinion sir.

@swenani I understand you. I'll still tell you there is no other solution than that. Why would someone want to pay somebody to tell him what he already knows? Don't you know what to do to resolve drug addiction? Don't you know what to do to fix issue of fishmongering? Don't you how to solve the problem of alcoholism?

But you think the who is who in this business will ever let you see the sense in true solutions. They always make sure they package bad in a very beautiful way to entice many into indulging. Satan's handiwork indeed!

Are we talking about cocaine ama heroin? I don't know much about drugs but I do know that cocaine is either smoked or inhaled, but I stand corrected.
The only rehab that I know is called Jorgs Ark Rehab, its somewhere in Tigoni Limuru, google it.
As for a psychiatrist, I have no idea.

Quote:
The intensity and duration of cocaine’s pleasurable effects depend on the way it is administered. Injecting or smoking cocaine delivers the drug rapidly into the bloodstream and brain, producing a quicker and stronger but shorter-lasting high than snorting. The high from snorting cocaine may last 15 to 30 minutes; the high from smoking may last 5 to 10 minutes.

That was my thought exactly.
Pole, I wish him well. Don't forget prayers. To be honest I have no clue what to do or what I'd do in your situation.

BBI will solve it

Thanks to all.

i have never thought of being involved hence lack of particular person ( psychiatrist eg ) to contact. the school was just an average school only that samaki moja akioza,,,,. thanks for help.

for clarification, cocaine was smoked with marijuana to make "high" effect more lasting.
