smile Centum is an investment compny and could be found anywhere sitting and raking in money from the many firms we read about and work for. They have put their coins to hit other coins and generate motion.
Its not very far from a theory I once heard that when Ngindo Kenneth Matiba was in KBL(now EABL) he had invested his monies such that for every pop sound of a beer opening matiba was earning a tenth of the amount. For today it might well be also for every entry to Kidero toilets centum takes home 10%. So keep entering those toilets nd you will see good news.
By the way, who rehabilatated the NCC toilets and how much money per day? Applause Drool

Good things happen to good people!!!!
Centum Chief Executive Officer James Mworia is to receive an African Business Leader of the Year Award from Corporate Council of Africa (CCA).The award will be presented during the Council's third annual awards dinner dubbed "A Celebration of Excellence in US-Africa Business Relations" on December 16, 2014 in Washington DC. Mr Mworia would also speak at CCA Power Africa Working Group. He will receive the award in recognition of his efforts and outstanding achievement as Centum's CEO and Managing Director in the past six years. Under his leadership, Centum, in its ambitious 2009/2014 strategy period reorganised into three distinct business lines: Private Equity, Quoted Private Equity and Real Estate and Infrastructure.

I thought... it was only vjuma or BusinessDaily on this Centum's market roll, now @Realtreaty smile

Well the amount of news updates now seems like a desperate attempt to keep the price above 60/- in a bear market.

Kwani, kizuri hakijiuzi?

Good point. Centum needs to take a one year break from the media and let success speak for itself. Otherwise all the media is raising suspicion that they are trying too hard to sell this company to the public.

@muganda and Ufanisi
The Market is daily.
A case is where two people are in tomatoe business and one is almost a monopoly. So he sells his much tomatoes and at the expense of the poor guy with less. One evening when the monopoly finished his stock the small guy's plan was he would sleep and let him sell the next day...he was astonished to him in market with truck loads of fresh tomatoes early next morning. His tomatoes that were now weathering went to garbage. Centum must keep pumping as normal daily markets, no retreat, LSE ,NSE are all players.smile

smile smile Billionaire investor Chris Kirubi and NSE-listed firm Centum have signed an agreement to sell their shares in insurance group UAP Holdings to Old Mutual, in a deal that will see the two earn more than Sh7 billion.
NSE billionaires up Centum stake by Sh430 million
Kirubi earns Sh2.8bn in sale of UAP shares to Old Mutual
Mr Kirubi’s 9.58 per cent stake in the insurance group is set to earn him more than Sh2.8 billion while Centum will receive in excess of Sh4 billion for its 13.75 per cent shareholding in the company.

And the DJ will not sell even if someone offered Kshs.100 per share. I wonder how much this a counter will be same time next year. This one will get the guys who bought sub 30/- into the millionaires club.

But the DJ might not be very smart. He told everyone he plans to increase his holding to 30% before actually doing it. At that time the share was selling at 25/=. That announcement has made him pay through the nose! He has been buying the share at a premium. All the way to 60's

Shares that would have cost him 823 million had he bought quietly will end potentially costing him 2.1 Billion!!!

He would have saved approximately 1.3 Billion (give or take) had he not spoken!!!

That I don't understand!!! And he was not bluffing because he has actually been buying!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

1) He was at 25% (or almost at 25%) so he had to announce his intentions per CMA regulations. He is an insider.
2) His purchase of 1% at 'higher' prices raised the value [on the market] of the other 25%.

You write to CMA, not call a press conference and start saying how you cannot sell even at 100/=. You can say all these things AFTER buying.

Blowing one's trumpet must be something the DJ is good at. Let him pay the price that comes with it.

The matter is still in court which is the other hurdle
The case for yesterday was the private public partnership that cleared which doesn't necessarily mean that they have the go-ahead
