Pray Investment group Centum has been temporarily stopped from signing a Sh174 billion coal power generation contract until a petition filed by a rival bidder is determined.
Justice Mumbi Ngugi on Thursday ruled that the High Court has the power to issue the orders requested by HCIG-Liketh, which has challenged the decision to award the multi-billion shilling tender to the Centum-Gulf Energy consortium.
The judge, however, threw out a petition by the losing bidder, which claimed that the tender award had violated its constitutional rights.
The appeal against award of the tender to the Centum consortium will, therefore, be heard before the petition committee.
Pray Sad

Kirubi will handle this

I decided(and started) to wage all my savings and work into this company with a 5 year plan of making circa 7 times return on my portfolio.I've even put on hold plans to take a mortgage and instead load up on this as my mortgage.

In Mworia we believe and in Kirubi we trust.

The Ministry of Energy has denied that it bent tendering rules in favour of one bidder in the multi-billion shilling coal power plant contract.
Energy principal secretary (PS) Joseph Njoroge says in a replying affidavit to one of the losing bidders’ petition that the tender committee decided to re-evaluate the seven bidders who had been knocked out of the race, including Centum, after it found that some documents were not available at the close of the bidding period.

That was Huge. The question will always be, who's the bigger fool? The seller or the buyer? Or is it the spectator!

There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

Centum is pleased to announce its intended acquisition of an additional 3% shareholding in Almasi Beverages Limited (“Almasi”) bringing our total shareholding to 50.95% of the issued share capital of the company and resulting in Almasi becoming a subsidiary of Centum Investment Company Limited

Good but we're still clutching on the hope that Rea Vipingo plantation acquisition and the Lamu coal power project are ruled in favour of Centum.

I am inclined to think it is a deliberate company policy to have as many material announcements as possible or rather keep centum in the news as much as possible.
In the world of securities, courage and patience become the supreme virtues after adequate knowledge and a tested judgment are at hand.

You're right. They have a lot of media access. The good thing though is that management and board have a big stake in the company. So your interests and theirs are well aligned. This is the company that DJ CK will use to get to billion dollar man.

This seems calculated because of the recent decision by SAB Miller and Coca-Cola to acquire bottlers across Africa. Hopefully, it will result in a big payday for Centum.

Everyday is a CENTUM day

Billionaire Chris Kirubi’s daughter Mary Ann-Musangi has been named to the seven-member board of K-Rep Bank, a move seen to entrench the family’s presence in the lower-tier financial institution.
Ms Musang’s appointment could be interpreted as part of the emerging corporate culture of enhancing family presence in influential positions, which is aimed at softening decision-making and safeguarding family interests.
K-Rep is over 67 per cent owned by Centum Investments where Mr Kirubi controls a majority shareholding at almost 30 per cent.
Ms Musangi, a graduate from the UK’s University of Surrey, brings to the financial institution over 15 years of corporate experience, most of which was earned in the banking industry.

There is a day we will not be able to catch this stock as it may skyrocket to a 200Shs within a week.
