I would not invest in this coal plant..better option pension funds invest in geothermal power projects..with as much as 10000Mw untapped, powerwhich is clean, renewable geothermal is a no brainer..Infact GDC does the drilling to ensure the steam is available and all one has to do is build a power plant..So you are guaranteed of available power with no down risk and on top of this earn millions in carbon credits..Also side businesses can be started using geothermal power like farming, industry, use of geothermal brine to extract minerals like lithium which is in demand for electric cars..Geothermal is a no brainer..

Coal is dirty, and most countries are moving away from coal..It is a pollutuant and investors are shying away from coal plants..

In fact Thatcher scrapped coal energy and closed the coal plants in the early eighties in GB to concentrate on oil mining.....was a very unpopular move with the unions and the thousands of coal workers who earned a living off it but she stuck to her guns.....now she was the real Iron Lady....

The wrongbwait to be a Kenyan dollar billionaire is here with us. Two this are possible with this stock as it closes its 2014-15 FY. One is to give a bonus share 1 for every 5 or cause a share split to make the stock more affordable 1:2. Bringing the price to 32.

I was not on exile, I just went back to my silos to sort the seeds and eat my nuts from some of my investments that were generous. This is the time of opportunity when market is depressed ex- dividend\ bonus. I am a real hunter!!!

....also in the news elsewhere ....
Alphalatre, which produces equipment for plaster and gypsum, said it had approached Centum for a deal.

“We have opened talks with Centum towards setting up a production unit locally,” Alphalatre commercial executive Guillaume Prode told the Business Daily.

Centum CEO James Mworia said the proposed partnership fits within the firm’s diversification strategy.

“Yes we are in discussion as part of our real estate product portfolio,” said Mr Mworia but did not offer details.

From their memorandum:

BLUF: No dividend until 2019.

9.7 Dividend Policy
In 2009/2010 the Board of Directors of Centum made a decision not to recommend the payment of dividend and instead direct internally
generated funds to growing shareholder value. In the new strategy period from 2014-19, the board of directors has maintained the no
dividend policy.
