A Singaporean businessman called Wilson Raj Perumal who was arrested in 2011 has sensationally claimed that he bribed officials to help Nigeria qualify for the 2010 world cup.

If this is true. And I think it is likely to be true, I hope a full investigation happens. I suspect that not only were the match referees bribed but also some CAF officials.

Some time in October, I posited that the referee who officiated Kenya vs Nigeria in 2009 was compromised via bribery. Urstill and McReggae laughed me off as a conspiracy theorist. See the threead below

In fact this is the very match that Wilson Raj Perumal claims that he fixed above all.

This then is the guy we need to get us to the 2022 World Cup! I hope Nyamweya will engage him so that I can wave the Kenyan flag in Qatar

Can't see any reference to Kenya vs Nigeria in the article. The only ref is Mozambique vs Tunisia. Or have you bought the book?

I read the account on futaa.com which stated that the Kenya - Nigeria match was at the core of the allegations

I watched the match too and thought that it was rigged. I don't remember which of Obafemi Martin's 2 goals was offside but there is no way the ref and linesman would have missed it.

FIFA should kick Nigeria out of this year's World Cup and take Kenya instead. Gordon Gekko could then get to wave his flag sooner, surrounded by those beauties at Copacabana.

OK
But you flatly rejected the idea that Naija or any other African country might be benefiting from corruption. You said "I simply hate the Ogas".

The Ogas can be so brazen. This should be investigated. Remember the league match where 70+ goals were scored.

Sasa a Nigerian agent has been caught boasting on camera that he could arrange for players to be shown red and yellow cards at this summer’s WC in Brazil. Members of Stephen Keshi’s Super Eagles squad are willing to take bribes of £41,000 to deliberately pick up a yellow card, €100,000 for a red and £81,370 for a Penalty. He also claimed he has already recruited two players and has the ability to influence team selection through a senior figure close to the Nigerian Football Federation.
