Kenya may offer its debut Eurobond as early as next week after settling two court-awarded payments linked to the Anglo-Leasing corruption scandal that had blocked the offering, Treasury Secretary Henry Rotich said.

"The 1.4 billion-shilling ($16 million) payments, which had been opposed by Kenyan lawyers because they were linked to a corruption scandal, were made after authorization by President Uhuru Kenyatta. The Treasury doesn’t have “any other legal hurdles” blocking the bond sale and a schedule of planned presentations to investors will be announced this week or “early” next week, Rotich said in an interview today.

“The roadshow will take four or five days, so we could go to the markets this month,” he said in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, where he’s attending the African Development Bank’s annual meetings."

Mark my words. Anglo-leasing will be the headache for Uhuru for a long long time

Just unbelievable. So will this one also be paid as we have to get the EuroBond? Is the money from the Eurobond supposed to be paying Anglo-leasing coz I don't see any money money remaining at this rate. 1.5 billion shillings per month means I'm in the wrong business. I should stop dish washing.
