The diamond league kicked off yesterday in doha and the usual suspects were back to their winning ways kiprop ,sum kemboi etc

but what a performance by obiri in the 3000M now fastest non chinese woman over the distance unofficially she is the world record holder given the history of the chinese runners Applause Applause

Instead it was the Kenyans who rewrote the all-time lists and record books. Obiri became the fifth fastest woman ever over the distance

It may take Rudisha another month or two before he is in running shape. And who knows if he will be back to the same form. Amazingly Kenya has no 800m runners now. Timothy Kitum just disappeared when everyone thought he was the next big 800m runner ?

There have, however, been rumours that Rudisha’s injuries are linked to a domestic dispute with his wife of four years, Elizabeth Naanyu. Sources have told The Nairobian that possible domestic fights between Rudisha and Naanyu may have caused him to keep off track since last year June
