There was an advert in the 2nd page of the Daily Nation on 30th April about this gadget for locating vehicle position. They had named it 'JASUSI'. The thing is GSM based where it gives SMSs you the location of the vehicle using geographic coordinates that you feed into 'Google Earth Maps' then you get the location of the vehicle. It comes with a once off installation fee of Kshs 17,500/= and no monthly or annual subscriptions thereafter. All you'll be doing is to sambaza to it airtime from your ordinary phone so that it can be able to sms you back. Has anyone in SK installed this gadget (or related types) and what are your experiences?

An enquiry using the numbers posted in the Ad revealed that the gadget can also remotely immobilise the vehicle from your phone. Is this true?

Or is there any other firm offering such devices?. In short,am interested in any car security device (GPRS-based) that has no annual or monthly subscription. Just a once off installation fee na tunamalizana. This is to avoid someone pulling a Tejan on me.
