“We expect to close the deal for the 21 acres of land in Ngong by the end of this month,” said Britam CEO Benson Wairegi on Friday.

Looks like it's on course...

Would anyone be in the know, where exactly this parcel is?

STORY HERE..

check the google map here

https://maps.google.com/...p;spn=0.052257,0.084543

all the land from Hon. Raila's residence all the way to Ngong town belongs to veterinary dept and hence undeveloped. This is bad for the economy since its on a well serviced area that has been serviced using tax payers money yet no tax payer benefits from it.
I would say it would be a good thing if britam got into a deal with veterinary dept to buy the land and develop.

I think you've mixed up that googlemap you posted, please recheck.

Considering that they bought in bulk, a price of Kes 321M sound on the higher side.

About the veterinary land, that would be a good idea if it came to pass, However, many have tried to buy that land before. It has been stopped amidst claims of that deals are not clean.

I would not want to buy that veterinary land if it were me, i wouldn't want to wake up with a yellow hyundai bulldozer outside my window one day.

@subzero, the price works out at kes 2m per eighth acre which is around the market rate.A discount should have been in order due to bulk purchase.
Govt/ministry of lands/Vet department should consider selling off the land to developers.
