Hi,I’ve been out of the country and now planning to move back. I am looking to purchase a home but not clear where to begin. Does anyone have any suggestions on locations,affordable homes,banking institutions to go with,mortgages etc. I would appreciate any helpful information that is offered!

i suggest you start with the bank websites

hfck and kcb have web sites

other vendors too

there are lots of properties on the net too so you can start checking what area fits into your price range

If i were you I would go to the morguage institutions get appraised for the amount of mortguage you can ge given then attend their autions of houses. HF used to have a listing on their 6th flr of houses on auction. Youll may just get some bargains.

alot of guys have never thought of NHC. try www.nhckenya.co.ke. you will be surprised at how they are giving good offers on tenant purchase and mortgage. and not only in nairobi but all major towns in kenya
