I have been following Ourus appointments with keen interest and am not happy that important players in Kenyan society - socially, politically, academically etc - are being left out. I remember my days at "The UoN" where some of the best brains were from the lake. My roommate at Hall 10 (The Dag Hammarskjold Hall) was also from the lake. My current boss, a great professional is also from there. So why are Uhuruto discriminating against these very able people? Onyango Oloo isn't enough, we need more luos in govt. Voting for OAR isn't a crime, it's a democratic right as enshrined in our katiba. What if Baba won and excluded Mt Kenya and RV from govt? We are all Kenyans, equal shareholders.

What about Karl Marx?smile

Anyway Luos are not the problem, the problem is the culture of opposing everything. This has been evident in the previous 3 gaarments making it very difficult to accomplish anything or work with them. This can be attributed to one man and as soon as they can free themselves from that man, these masaibus will not go away.

Hehehehe...The subject of this thread is misleading. It assumes there is no Luo in govt. Maybe you say "More Luos...." Isnt one of the most powerful ministry being led by a lady whose name suggests she is Luo?smile

problem is their leaders showing them not to accept a democratically elected leader and fighting those who do like Kidero. When Raila goes to Kisumu and says his victory was snatched in a coup almost a year since the elections he is putting thhe people their in combative mood and they refuse to recognize the president. After elections a guy in Kisumu was seen swearing the UK should never step in Nyanza now when their leader says that the leaders ni wajinga kushinda mama zao what is that? who says that? Bottom line Odingaism is the curse

Unfortunately that is how politics in Kenya work.I wish it was different.

Secondly this jobs are about delivering some service to a certain expectation, if someone does not support you he is likely to surbotage you.

I remember in the coalition gaament after any cabinet meeting all the key deliberations were with the press before the PPS gave any info....made it very difficult to hold cabinet meeting for Baks. I doubt if the govt needs a repeat of that.

We Luos are great people. We dont need small civil servant jobs. Indeed it will be a privelege for some people to be allowed to clean Obama's shoes.

Isnt the reverse/reciprocal true,I said it before one of my closest pals whose a doc and comes from central was almost disowned by his folks because he is OAR damu and voted for him...look at Kuguru,S.K Macharia and the Keroche lady, openly siding with OAR has impacted on their biz and association with their own...
