I was suprised to hear Public service MInister Dalmas Otieno say that they increased the retirement age because there were no qualified people to fill the positions by the supposed retirees!!!!

Did they look for me?

I have applied many public service positions but I have never been called for an interview.May be because my parents /clan is not from the right class but I bet I am more qualified than some Permanent Secretaries in some ministries!!!! why?

Really the old people should give way for some fresh blood.

thing is a big % of Kenyans especially politicians are old school they use the principle of the older u are the more experienced you are...... young managers are completely ignored..plus any application to the public service is simply on know who basis...but keep trying you might be lucky one day...
