@Janeswordy, what do you want to use this switch for ? The intended purpose determines the choice between the two and how much money you are ready to spend.
In summary the key difference is PoE - power over ethernet - 48T-L doesn't have PoE whereas 48P-L has PoE.
The power consumption for 48T is 350W which is much lower than 48P which is 715W for 48P-L and 1100W for 48PF-L respectively.
NB: The intended use will also determine the software,FYI there are three for this category -
1. LAN Base Software
2. IP Base Software
3. IP Services Software
The choice is yours.
