By the way, on a different note, why does CORD guys keep quoting the laptop issue every time they are listing the Jubilee failures yet they were against it and thought its a waste of time? In fact at a point their suggestion was the money should be used to give salos to teachers and abandon the laptop issue altogether.

To me the laptop project is already a success since our rural primary school now has electricity, putting my shags within 600 metres of a transformer.

Kaimenyi said today that they will no longer buy laptops but will buy and distribute tablets to class 1 students.

I foresee a drop in prices of tablets due to market flooding

The government will set up computer labs for standard one pupils instead of giving each child a laptop as promised during its 2013 campaign.

Speaking yesterday during the 18th edition of the Nairobi International Book Fair in Westlands, Nairobi, the ICT board chief Victor Kyalo said the programme will be implemented in January 2016.
