importing a car is it year of manufacturer or date of registration

just read from the KRA that i need to check this one out ,how do other guys do it?

NOTE: DEPRECIATION IS BASED ON DATE OF FIRST REGISTRATION AS PER THE FOREIGN LOGBOOK/INSPECTION CERTIFICATE e.g: JEVIC

The date of first registration is used when importing (duty calculation) whereas the year of manufacture will be indicated on the logbook.
