Sgt Ogidi Obuon's statement to police implicates both Jaramogi and Raila in it. Jaramogi was a willing financier who had thought of a coup as a fix to the Moi regime before the junior soldiers visited him for help. Raila is at the heart of the coup being part of the council-the committee in charge of planning the coup.
