I raised this issue on post #1288. Looks like the people at BDA get their news from Wazua.

HAL abandoned Lakeview (Kisumu) and Llango (Kwale).

Wonder why it wasn't reported in the news.

Achana na @Obiero. He has the habit of transfering his KQ frustrations to all other stocks smile smile

Management is on course in concentrating on the main projects, liquidating raw land for liquidity.

I will be happy if they sell aggressively to convert inventories and forget external financing for the time being.

Quote:

@xxxxx looking at HAL financials, the problem is one of liquidity. They are spending too much money in admin but not putting enough into completing projects.

IMO the liquidity issue can be sorted out by more aggressive selling of their projects and investing more of funds raised into completing projects underway.

In short they should work harder at converting inventories into cash rather than getting loans and bonds from financiers.

Do not be simplistic.. This is a major boost for the monkey. It has received possibility of endless supply of bananas. We must celebrate for the monkey, but I still wouldn't touch, since the company has been collecting funds with no delivery of units hence a deep black hole may have formed which could lead to reputational damage, that will sweep away even the China man. Remember Shelter Afrique

True. Similar to what happened to banks in KQLC. The smart one was Jamii Bora which negotiated a repayment plan.

JBB is collapsing, with shortsightedness in accepting a quick deal. But we digress

I wish Equity and I&M had chosen the cash option lakini that wasn't even an option offered to them. JM did squeeze a better deal (for all banks) when he refused to accept the initial debt conversion proposal.

If HAFR does really have the land they claim to have then Yang could make a play for HAFR.
Of course, it might be easier to buy a clean title than deal with lawsuits, disgruntled employees and funny JVs at HAFR.

The most likely route is to form a SPV for each of the projects/land agree on revenue sharing.
Build houses, sell then share the profits based on the agreement.
