My suspension is due to end in the 1st quarter of 2014 and I've grown tired of waiting.
Now here is a quick recap of what has happened over the last few years:
1. Former Deputy Chief Justice Nancy Baraza was involved in an incidence that cost her her position (though she is now enjoying loads of tax-payers money).
2. Luis Moreno Ocampo was replaced by Fatou Bensouda at the Hague based ICC.
3. The formerly dubbed 'KKK' morphed into the G7 and later on members formed different coalitions the most notable being the Jubilee Alliance and CORD.
4. Christmas came and went - twice.
5. Kenya went to war with extremists and established some semblance of peace in Somalia.
6. In what is considered 'The Greatest 800 Meter Race Ever', David Lekuta Rudisha became the first and, so far, only runner to have broken the 1:41 barrier for 800m. In doing this he set a new Olympic record and broke his own world record that he set in 2010. Sebastian Coe, organizer of the London Olympics, said: "It was the performance of the Games, not just of track and field but of the Games". He added, "Bolt was good, Rudisha was magnificent. That is quite a big call but it was the most extraordinary piece of running I have probably ever seen." Rudisha's pace was so punishing that the silver medalist had to be carried from the track on a stretcher due to exertion. Efforts to catch up to Rudisha led all eight runners to set season's bests; seven set personal bests; and three set national records, of which one was also the world junior record.
7. The country went through a peaceful election and now has a new head of state; namely, H.E. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. Oh, we also have a new First Lady; namely, Margaret Gakuo Kenyatta.
Wazuans - is there anything else I need to add to the list?
