@obiero why are you sooo apprehensive to a different opinion??

If you can just point out the flaw this argument would have ended a long time ago...

Instead all I'm getting from you is nyenyenyenye!!! Sad

Bear in mind writing off will not be confined to profits but may most likely result in looted deposits, destroyed property, missing loanees and cost of evacuating staff. Certainly KCB will take a massive knock without a doubt.

Will KCB now aim to move upwards the new year to levels of54-57 Kes? Or even look brighter and catches 60 soon? What are the prospects or would it sit back becoz of our neighbour is in anarchy. Uhuru and Ethiopian PM will resolve the SS issues soon. But investors will take time to trust the country. It may take another 2 -4 years to build trust and invest.

KCBs balance sheet is too large to be even dented by SS!

I dont know much about projections based on fundamental analysis, but on stock price volume behavior analysis this one is headed back to 50 and fast.

If they have insurance against civil war... And the payment will not be made in 2013.

It would be pure madness not to insure against civil strife in South Sudan!

Marvellous statement from KCB CEO Oigara beats all the odds attached to the bank concerning its investments in South Sudan. He came strongly as a CEO to say business as usual!!!!!! Congrats Oigara!

A fetid smell rose from the several corpses left lying in the market, some in uniform, others in civilian clothes. Plumes of smoke were still rising from the charred ruins of the market. A large Kenyan-owned bank had also been razed.
