I Found this interesting. In an employment opportunity for a USAID funded project the weighted qualification for "MONITORING AND EVALUATION ADVISOR" position is as below:
1. Education (10%)
2. Prior Work Experience (20%)
3. Knowledge (30%) i.e Knowledge of USAID regulations and procedures which bear on project management
4. Skills and Abilities (40%): i.e ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
5. Post Entry Training: i.e usaid to train employee in USAID project design and implementation
6. Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
This compares very different to most Kenyan job employers who give Education a weight of almost 100%.
The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.
