Does it matter?

For the president and his handlers it does and it seems like his handlers wants his tenure to be defined under a president uhuru unlike his fathers which was president kenyatta.

Juliet:

'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;

So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself. William Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet,

President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta

Did you see the ballot paper? It read "Uhuru Kenyatta" There was no Muigai. This must be what IEBC lifted from his ID

Did you listen to him take the oaths? he said "I, Uhuru Kenyatta". Again no Muigai. This must be what Supreme court lifted from IEBC certificate.

He must have change his name to drop Muigai because at the ICC he introduced himself as Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta

....but, if I was his publicity manager, I would choose President Uhuru.... to draw a line between him and his father and also inject some "youthful informality" into the office. BTW, I like the way he was photographed with Raila without a necktie... and also attended Church in an informal ketenge shirt.... Fresh break from the past

Do we have President Barack or President Obama? That answers the question.
