Merriam-Webster dictionary defines 'UNANIMOUS' as follows;
1: being of one mind : agreeing
2: formed with or indicating unanimity : having the agreement and consent of all.
My question is, wasn't there one single judge who had a dissenting view?
oooh...and my new rank is chief...

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

...and in other news: MP vows to move bill to sack Supreme Court judges. http://www.nation.co.ke/.../-/x3cl7rz/-/index.html
"He also questioned how Supreme Court Judges Jackton Ojwang, Mohammed Ibrahim and Philip Tunoi, all previously from High Court, joined their three colleagues in making a unanimous decision.

“These are competent Judges who always made independent decisions when they served at the High Court. They could not possibly agree on a unanimous decision,” he said".

The lobbying to have a unanimous decision by the SC was plain wrong.

Not necessarily according to one lawyer on NTV -Kanjama on such sensitive cases the Judges may vote but choose not to reveal hence the choice of 'unanimous'.

Otherwise people may have started speculating on who voted Which way.

...Stopped watching TV after the unanimous decision and hence missed that part of 'education'. Is there a law that demands a revelation of who voted which way?. I think it is important to know how our judges think on matters of national importance.

Who did the lobbying?
The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem

Logging off in a few minutes and may not be able to take this arguement to the full length.....on the hindsight given what had been planned, I think the SC had to announce as they did!!!

.......do you think in 2017 somebody will take a presidential petition to the high court???

Am missing the point here....so the only way the judges would have been right is if they ruled in favor of the petitioner?
