The month of September is the cervical cancer awareness month.
The Nairobi Women's Hospital will be creating the awareness by conducting health talks to our clients on the same.
Cervical cancer is the second cause of cancer mortality in women and in most cases cervical cancer has no symptoms. The pap smear is done to detect abnormal cells in the cervix. If detected early cervical cancer can be treated.
We are therefore encouraging all women to visit The Nairobi Women’s Hospital for their annual pap smear test at a reduced price of Ksh. 700( applies only from 1st – 30th September 2009). The Hospital's Laboratory is open 24hr Monday - Sunday. The test can be done on self request and one does not need to visit a doctor first.
