Does this silence mean that there are no wazuans in KP?

No. The silence means that people who have been in KP for long know that they never pay dividends on time.
Which is very disappointing because if their valuable customers fail to pay their bill on time they're cut-off.

BBI will solve it

Kenya Power has cash flow issues and that is why they never issued an interim dividend.
cash flow issues is also the cause of the delay in paying dividends

Please inform us once you receive your dividends so we can go to the post office. I think I visit my box office like twice a year.

Why do they always send dividends via registered post instead of directly crediting it into our accounts like other listed companies.

Reading debt galore: Kenya Power gets Sh5.1bn loan to set up more sub-stations. The loan would increase the debt burden of the electricity distributor to Sh26.7 billion. Kenya Power is also seeking Sh29.3 billion loan from China’s Exim Bank to finance investment in underground cables in order to reduce transmission down-times >>> http://www.nation.co.ke/busines...94/-/h4i6c8/-/index.html

unrelated...
KPLC must find the going tough once the new regime settles. I guess they may have their earnings reduced as ERC reign on them as the did to oil sector as the Kenyatta II administration implement some populist policies.

What do others think? Are the profitability levels sustainable in the long lung in the backdrop of popular view that power is way "too expensive " in Kenya?

The law guarantees Kenya Power a minimum "Return on Assets" to allow for sustainable operations..

So with higher debt/assets expect higher returns/tariffs!

Looks like I will never get the dividend cheque this year. Anybody in the same boat?
Could somebody please give me the contacts for their registrar?
