1. This crashing of the "new" systems due to "overloading" etc doesnt add up, not a normal thing IMO.

2. Remember Samuel Kivuitu's infamous line on being asked about the delays "......I dont know why the results are being delayed, maybe they are being cooked..........". This statement was made out of sheer frustration and anger. Who delays these results? Isaac Hassan seemed angry and unsettled, maybe the returning officers down there have also been frustrated by the PARTY AGENTS.

3. Failing BVR kit....this could be intentional and malicious....

Iko kitu hapa. Apologies to Kivuitu are very much warranted.

The IT related snags are more to do with over ambition. Those overloads and failures are real, Its practically imposible to expect a cobbled together organisation like the IEBC to manage a WAN required to manage the voting and tallying system as well as maintain a data base of 14 million.

I have seen profesional organisations struggle with new IT systems for upto 1 year as they try to intergrate their operations so I can imagine the amount of details that were not taken into account by IEBC or any other loosely run gava organisation.

The other bit is COOKING

Quite insightful @simonkabz but I wonder whether they are clumsily sabotaging themselves, facts so far:

1. EVID system did not work

2. Servers crashed causing 6hr delay initially

3. Transmission system fails

To make matters a little worse, Peter Kenneth in his speech seemed to state provisional results not tallying with actual results:
Quote:
Kenneth urged the electoral body to clear presidential results saying results they were getting from their field agents were different from what IEBC has.

Now Isaack Hassan IEBC say they will announce official results soon, the same ones which news stations are using to announce results for other races (senate, governor, women rep, etc). It seems they have given up on the pace of provisional results.

Gosh! We have to be positive but this is a lot of pressure in return for all the billions spent.

On a more cheeky note smile

@RobertAlai (rabble rouser, ODM supporter) seems to have irked @Nzioka0722 (Safaricom, director corporate affairs) quoting unnamed sources, while insisting Safaricom VPN is partly to blame for the delay in transmission of results.

A database of 14 million will not be more than 100mb in size on whatever relational DBMS.

Kenyans paid more than KES 9 Billion for these systems. For than amount of money those systems had better work!

We will be dumping all that 9B as I have no wish to return to this nonsense, we don't even have reliable power to charge the damn hardwares. Lets go manual

I can already seeing lawyers lining up with silly arguments like spoilt votes all over TV. No one wants to lose and they don't want to go home to tell the supporters that they lost fairly.

In my polling station, everything was above board. I will believe bad intentions from the IEBC when I see the evidence.

So who else has evidence that the IEBC is cooking numbers like that fool Alai is claiming?

Kama hauna, please then don't spread that idea.
