How can one put bullies in their place?
Why do people bully others in the office?
I exp it a few years back when I started work in a new office and that exp alone left me traumatised till date.
My bully was a big,loud mama who caused tremors everytime she walked in.She made everybody her slave and enjoyed doing it.It gave her energy and boosted her ego when she saw us shake like leaves.
Men feared her!clients experienced her negative attitude but she was just there like a pillar.
Some bullies will go to the extent of deliberately setting you up, so you can find yourself in trouble with the boss.
Others will try to make you deviate from your work to do theirs.
A colleague left her new place of work because the ones she was to report to did not share vital info to enable her perform.She was good but it's really difficult to cope in a new environment without support.
Which is the best way to deal with it?
Confront them? Report them?.(this never works)
One time, I was too depressed, that I thought of ganging up with 3 fellow workmates,wear black hoods and wait for the bully in the lift late evening so we could give her a beating or tie her to a tree and just go home.
