Hi again Wazuans.
So finally, I got to open my ka- place somewhere near Amboseli National Park overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro. I want to have a standard pool put over there. Any swimming pool people here in Wazua? Wanted to know how to go about this. Got adequate water from my borehole now after i got a submersible pump smile from Grundfos , now want to install the pool in time for Easter Holidays. Any advice guys? Help a ninja out.
And by the way, you can check out the place here just incase you want an Easter Plan and dont want to go to Mombatha smile kama kawaida.
If you think you can, and if you think you can't , either way, you are right!

Congratulations.
Very Beautiful scenery, nice interior and bed.
small questions please.

1.Securitate (kuna simba au wanyama watu?)

2.I see that you offer BB only?(from site) how about FB/HB? Wageni wala nini?

3. How many families can you book at a go?

4. How do you handle many bookings? seeing it's one villa?

Thank you for your questions @essyk.
1. Security is very good. There are animals , but in the park and the property is well lit and wild animals dont like bright places at night. There are also Maasai watchmen on site.
2. We offer BB but arrangements can be made to have FB and HB or even self catering.
3. As for now the Villa can comfortable cater for 4 couples but there are some other rooms being built which will host an additional 12 couples, some with single beds and double beds.
4. Its a new place, and we havent done lots of business , but in case we have more bookings than we can handle we spill them over to Amboseli Sopa Lodge. . We should have increased capacity by the Easter Holidays or latest Madaraka Day. Then we can have a Wazua Mbuzi there.smile

So this is why I need a Swimming Pool, I need some good gazebos around the property so that people can chill, poolside beds, etc.
If you think you can, and if you think you can't , either way, you are right!

Thank you for the response.I ask because I know of a family looking for a place to spend a get together over Easter and this was on time.

I will check out your rates and forward the link.
I can only consider a place worth visiting if it has pool.So I am praying that you get it done fast.
Wishing you the best.

@Essyk, Davis and Shirtliff will do for the pump room. I was actually reffered to this company which does pools at a mwananchi friendly price.
Nevertheless, when its done, I will invite you and yours to Maasai Villa for one day full board on the house smile

Try Link Their MD Tony is ex D&S and has plenty of experience in the water business. You may want to compare quotes with the other recommended companies.

I deal with some contractors whom I can link you with.
I would need to know the size of pool you intend to construct, the type of soil, desired finish etc to arrive at a decision on tentative offers.

Kisio pool prices are crazy. 8x4m pool 2.3M? For 2M I can build a fully functional pool that size and take a 1.6m vacation to the Maldives for a month and back with change to spare

I built my huge 20k litre underground watertank (including of course its roof) for a total of well under 200k labour and materials inclusive. Completely reinforced with deformed rods throughout. Since the roof of the tank is an extra expense, you can already see how the basic structure itself is quite cheap to build. A pool filter (below) from Davis and S is dirt cheap at 30k. Pumps in Kenya are laughably cheap. Solar panels prices mnajua - dirt cheap.

Waterproofing is easy peasy - so many options including terrazzo, tiles, waterproofed cement that is then painted over..the works. Bottom line as a4architect said these things are not rocket science...in fact I am thinking of becoming a pool contractor and selling at half of Kisio pools prices Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

This beberu built his for 260k in 2014. Go figure Drool
