To leaglize it or not..... last week the National Aids Control Council (NACC) proposed that prostitution needs to be legalized so as to regulate the spread of HIV/AIDS..... and no sooner had they hang up the microphone,,,than they were attacked from all sides, particularly by the church,,,their sin?... apparently they were accused for encouraging societal immorality....
as i intently followed the discussion that proceeded my only question was - now,do u mean to tell me that by not legalizing prostitution.... it will stop to exist?.... or are we simply living in denial??... pretending that some sins dont exist,,,,,or we would rather not mention them aloud..??
dont get me wrong on this one.... lets agree on some basics here - first, the number of commercial sex workers has doubled in recent past,,,,,and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that Koinage Street has now been successfully replicated across the country, including in our own villages..... of course, starting with Nairobi... whereby each major street in our estates is a prime area for clients and clintelee.....
not to mention about the so-called beauty and hair saloon advertised everywhere,,,yet they are in essence brothels.... and needless for me to mention about the porno industry that is really thriving in hotels on river road and tom mboya street... and for those who watched 'the axis of death' on KTN a couple of weeks ago,,,have an idea what im talking about,,,,,
now the question is..... for ho long are we going to stick our heads in the sand,,,pretending that some sins dont exist,,,yet its happening right under our noses...... behind our churches, next to our homes,,,inside our church,,,,,,behind our offices,,,and basically everywhere..... rem,not talking about prostitution,,,doesnt stop it from thriving......over to you!!!!
Make money.....then you will enjoy all the fine things in life!!!
