Is this assertion ever true or its just some wild wolf cries?

That the white man approached Jaramogi Odinga and requested him to be the first president (PM) of the new independent Kenya but Jaramogi refused saying that he would rather Kenyatta rule first since Kenyatta had suffered more in detention.
Around 1960-62

Is this true?

Jaramogi didn't say Kenyatta deserved it more, he refused to be made a PM whilst Kenyatta and others where still in prison.
African solidarity Jaramogi said.

Eventually when Kenyatta was freed,Jaramogi was not appointed PM.

His reasoning was not that Kenyatta Suffered more, rather that He wanted Kenya to be one.

So after Kenyatta left the cells and became PM/President he decided Kenya to be two!
He should have grabbed the opportunity and led the Nation to prosperity,we would not be talking about Singapore and Malaysia by now.
