They can all do more or less what another can, but with some differences. In your list, you've got these operating systems: Android, Windows Mobile and Blackberry. Don't want iOS? Before getting into the hardware, you need to know which operating system you will be using. Different operating systems have their pro's and cons: Android Pros - It gives your the most freedom with your phone. - It is open-source - Has the most variety of hardware options - Lots developers & lots of applications - Backed by Google, with seamless Google integration with Google's services & products. Cons - Because it is open source, and with lots of apps, there also comes lots of viruses because there is no control over what get's published. Any publisher can publish anything, hence there is need for extreme caution when installing apps. Windows Pros - Very simple & pleasant user interface. - Backed by Microsoft, hence seamless integration with Microsoft products and services, including the different windows operating systems. - You can get handsets by various manufactures, not Microsoft only. Manufactures such as HTC & Samsung & have to mention Nokia. Cons - Limited apps Blackberry Pros - Pioneers of Push-Email - Top notch security, with encrypted emails. - Business / Corporate oriented Cons - Limited Hardware options - Limited Apps - Not much for leisure If it was for business, and if I did not need entertainment, and media such as games, different apps, high quality videos & movies etc... Then obviously it would have to go to Black Berry - more especially because of security - security that may be able to meet corporate policies. If entertainment and media is something that you need, then Android would be yours, more especially due to the huge variety of content that is available and the different hardware options that are available to handle processor intensive tasks such as full 3D games and ability to play media such as Full HD (1080p) video. Windows caters for both worlds but still lacks apps, while being capable of offering enterprise services and integration with windows OS's. Although windows has more hardware options than BB, it has fewer hardware options compared to Android. Regarding Hardware, you want to future proof yourself, ensure that the phone can take good still's and video (pref 1080p), with auto focus, including a front face camera. The phone needs to have a mobile high-definition link, memory slot, high resolution screen, LTE aka 4G, Good speakers, NFC, Micro USB, a large battery and a Fast processor. If you choose Android, guess what? Sony has just released a new smartphone that is threatening every other - the Sony Xperia Z - It has a 5" screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels - That is a lot! With a pixel density of 441 ppi! - It is water-proof - It is dust-proof - It has a front and back camera that can record 1080p video at 30 fps. - It can record HDR - High Dynamic Range stills & Video (You get these features in new DSLR's. New DSLR's can take HDR still's but not HDR videos - it would require hacks & mods to be able to get HDR videos from dslr's, but now it's in a phone - With Video!). - 13 Megapixel camera - Protected scratch-resistant and shatter proof glass - Tough as metal Quoting "How solid does a precision engineered smartphone need to be? How about as solid as a car? Xperia Z’s frame is made from glass fibre polyamide, the same material that’s used as a metal substitute in automobile parts." http://www.sonymobile.co...oducts/phones/xperia-z/
http://www.sonymobile.co...xperia-z/features/#tabs
You can watch it's videos on SonyXperia youtube channel. Don't think that it's in Ke yet, but you can keep up here: https://www.facebook.com/sonymobileke
Is there a Galaxy Note 4? Thought that the new one was a GN2? They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.

You should go for the Xperia Z, its a pretty awesome device...as for the Galaxy S4, its specs and features have not been announced officially so you will never know for sure what it will pack but just expect it to be better than the S3.

Confused buyer. BB 10 is being unveiled now. Things I like so far - QNS OS - NFC technology - Not sure the infrastructure is in place. - Aggregating contact information - Twirra, FB, BBM etc - The "Peek" feature which allows you to view messages while watching video. - Video chat and screen sharing - Toggle between "work" apps and "personal" apps with separation. - Calendar appointment show up on top - Evernote and outlook integration - Picture app - ability to edit photos, crop, change colour etc - Story maker (video making app) you can add music, effects, titles and subtitles etc - More than 70 K apps (BlackBerry World) central location for music, video and TV shows - Download multiple apps simultaneously with no need to reboot the phone. It appears UK and Canada will get the phones first before others around the world. Will definitely try it out if I can get my hands on it soon.

And iTunes can play pirated music and video as well. On functionally of iPad in Kenya, that's pretty clueless.
