Ngilu's impunity & armtwisting politics

As indicated in a different thread, I happened to be at the venue for Jubilee Rally in Kitui on Dec 17 at the time. One very disturbing thing that I observed (and got explanation from those around who would know) is that School Buses were brought to the political rally - as a diktat from Ngilu. I counted over a dozen School Buses, most parked right next to the rally venue! Upon asking, I was made to understand that the local MP/Minister Ngilu calls the Head-Teachers to demand that their School Buses come to her function to shore up numbers and create a flair of a successful function! You will recall that late last week, it was widely reported in the media that Ngilu held a meeting with Head Teachers where she explained to them her political escapades, and allegedly got them to endorse her move to Jubilee coalition. Ngilu is a political maverick and a rough rider, but for her to put the County Teachers under duress and coerce them to do her political bidding, at times using School assets such as the Buses, is to sink to a new low. It's most unfair to Parents and Kenyans in general that School assets can be put at a politician’s beck and call! Ngilu is certainly not a leader reputed for her integrity, morality, ethics and good culturedness, but there are some things that even the Devil shouldnt do. Impunity is still very much with us! no offence meant. I believed your first story on UMK taking 20 mins off. Now on Ngilu…is there something I am missing here? Are we having someone working for someone/some side of the political divide by ‘innocently’ bringing some ‘facts’ out? I could be wrong but I see some political motives to discredit some people. What do you mean.Which motives do you think they could be.Am seeing a candid analysis of impunity, lack of principles and morals. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

@ali No need to introduce some extraneous and diversionary issues here. I only set out to bring out one pertinent issue, that Ngilu as MP and Minister has misused her office to pressure Headteachers into bringing School buses to her purely political rallies! This is a fact that is not in dispute or you may want to check with any contact you have in Kitui. @ digitek For starters, she is a Minister in Govt! Again even as an MP, Ngilu is not your ordinary MP. Incase you forgot or didnt know, she slaped a Kitui DC hard in the face during Moi's time in power. The Head-Teachers being Govt employees are put under an obvious duress. Do have any idea how she deals with people out of her favour. You can find this out from those who have worked with her. I gather macharia has bolted out of the haunted stable? this kind of language is unacceptable in Wazua, more so from you. Let us talk about what the candidates we support can do, not despising others. Democracy does not belong to the dead

@ Ngalaka, i am not introducing some Extra whatever issus.....i am just curious how you are making some innocent looking observations....but if you ask me, they are not so innocent. one minute, you see the Prince taking time off to drink something. the next, you see buses....why now? and don't come for my jagular, i am just making an observation on how your curiousity has suddenly become super active...very curious indeed. Disclaimer....I am not a supporter of either of the 2 politicians that Ngalaka is making observations about For in him (Jesus) we live and move and have our being-Acts 17:28

The reality for mama rainbow is that she has lost it this time. If she is not careful, she will not be elected to any office come March. I dont care if the words by Ngalaka are selective or not, Ngilu has nothing to offer anyone. She once thought that her presence gave legitimacy to coalitions, but unknown to her, life has moved on. No coalition will miss her at all should she decide to decamp!! Now she is merely tolerated, and it will get worse. Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...
