Anyone know where i can buy a salary protection insurance cover against risk of retrenchment

Jamii Bora have a product offered by Jubilee insurance where incase of retrenchment, they pay you upto 6 months salary to a limit of sh 2M

Only that salary has to pass through their account

since i have a loan with another bank, i cannot use them for now

Anyone know if there is an insurance company offering this product directly to clients

For SCB, if you take a loan with them, they also offer a retrenchment cover whereby they pay loan for 9 months incase the borrower is retrenched

help appreciated

Never knew there was such a thing. Isn't that too risky for the insurance? Only people who are about to get retrenched will take it. And what if you offer yourself for retrenchment?

Why do you need an insurance? Insure yourself by investing one year salary!!

This is quite an interesting product.Why not just institute a standing order to a super savings account where you are not allowed to easily do debits?
Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.
