NATION University of Nairobi lecturers when they announced the start of their strike on September 07, 2012 at the university’s grounds. Universities Academic Staff Union (Uasu) secretary-general Muga K’Olale said the union wants a new salary structure that will double the basic pay of lecturers and improve their allowances by more than 100 per cent.

The staff, who include 4,000 lecturers from the 31 public universities and colleges, halted work on the fourth day of another strike by teachers which has paralysed learning in public primary and secondary schools.

Private schools, private universities, private hospitals are full house. Wonder who is benefiting from their services. Wonder no more! The striking professionals because they can afford it.

True! The government should not behave like a drunk villager. If it makes a promise, it MUST keep it! If it thinks something is not possible it SHOULD NOT promise to do it! How difficult is that?
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

The dons are back to the streets again after the failure of the University Mgt to honor their CBA.
They also say the VCs must be vetted.
