Tabasamu dental clinic is just down the road from UoN Dental school....... Ralph Bunche road,next to Upper Hill Medical centre,Kugeria court,No. 8. The resident dentist is really good especially with kids.Very gentle but does a thorough job. She's Dr Christine ....... also works in some Nairobi hospitals + operation smile. Very impressive.

I don't envy you having to go to the dentist though! All the best.

@Cary

why would you want to have a tooth removed when you are still young? After some age,they dont grow anymore unless you havent attained that age.... If its not milkteeth,have a root canal(hope thats the spelling) done and then its filled... it will hold your smile together for a long long long time... and you will be thankful as you age gracefully.

Some deals are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

Try St. Marys hospital in Langata Otiende,they have a full dental clinic and very subsidized rates since they are a mission hospital. Ask for Dr. Kituku. Just from seeing him this morning. I think tooth removal is 500(not sure)....

If you are going for an extraction - try KNH as someone suggested - if its a regular extraction Kshs 300....if its a wisdom tooth or impacted molar then perhaps you need an xray before they can extract. Clean enough and experienced enough people. I am really not sure why people give KNH a wide berth - it has the MOST specialists in East and Central Africa - hell,the cops even take juveniles to the dental unit to ascertain their age!

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less
