No his case is different because he's been playing in the UK with Celtic.

The Kenyan Media have reported that he's close to joining Arsenal but i don't think that's the case. The gunners (like other clubs) have been watching him and have shown interest but no bid has been made.

But I do not think Wenger can pay 10m pounds for wanyama as suggested by the DN. Remember the boss has suggested that he will not be adding in the midfield by what he terms as Diaby and Wilshere return as new signings. I see the boy heading to QPR. Man U are also watching him closely

Reports indicate that scouts from Manchester United & Arsenal will watch Wanyama tonight as Celtic face HJK Helsinki in a Champions League qualifier.

Question @TAZ... Celtic is in the Scottish league while arsenal/qpr/manu are in the English league. Are the rules for the Scottish league the same as the rules for the English premier league? I think the later is what failed the older wa-meat. All the same I wish him the best.

get me right guys / ladies... what i am talking about here is the EPL rules vs Scottish PL rules and if they are the same or not in admitting players registered in other federations like ours (what's the name by the way)... not whether Scotland is in UK or not.... that is a no brainier

@ Kingfisher.....When he signed for Celtic, Wanyama's application for a work permit was rejected but his club appealed. The Scottish FA issued him with a Governing Body Endorsement which assisted him to complete his work permit application with the UK Border Agency. He had to go through all these because of the situation our national team was in and he was being signed from a club outside the UK which no one really knew much about. He already has a UK work permit so i don't think he'll need to go through the whole process again to play for an EPL team....its not a Scottish FA work permit!

The relevant federations must endorse any work permit application by a club before it is submitted to the Home Office. All Wanyama needs to do is apply for an extension of his work permit if he moves to England, that shouldn't be a challenge because he has already proven himself in the Scottish league.
