"It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonoured by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; you are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; you are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter'd your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defiled this sacred place, and turned the Lord's temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? You are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed, are yourselves gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!"

Annotation: "that shining bauble" refers to the mace that lies in the centre of the House of Commons when in session.

His Majesty the King of Popular Music, Michael Joseph Jackson (RIP), in his hit song "Man In the Mirror" has got an entirely different opinion.

He opines that you should take a look at your self and make that change.

For if Rev. Mutava Musyimi, James Orengo, et al transmuted to what they are today having in mind the pain they went through, then who are you (we) to think that given the opportunity, you (we) would have been any different?

Ponder that on that day and the polling box.

Incidently, what gives you the distinct impression that the next erection day shall be in the year of of Lord twenty twelve?

@aemathenge, are you now suggesting there is no hope for our beloved motherland? For the areas entrusted to myself, and I believe I speak for other Kenyans, I endeavour to serve for the common good of all. Granted we cannot change others but surely, they are pushing us too farrrr...
Meanwhile, the latest opinion polls suggest they are still ahead. What do Kenyans want?
