its finally dawning to politicians in central kenya that a run off between uhuru and raila is inevitable . in such a scenario raila would decimate uhuru. close aides are said to be advising him not to run his close allies have already began accompanying mm to political rallies me thinks he will monitor the opinion polls if the same margins continue he will back off but will not endorse MM. http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/?articleID=2000057984

IMO UK would beat RAO In the event of a run-off , even opinion polls have suggested so with some saying they'd be a tie. The main problem for UK is that even if he wins there will be a lot of pressure from the international community because of his involvement in the ICC cases. MM as a compromise candidate would be hard to beat especially with the backing of UK, WR, PK, Balala and co.
I also think there are Kenyans (like me) who cannot vote for anyone who was linked directly or indirectly to the 2007 PEV which gives MM a massive advantage.

UK should listen and back MM. I know there is nothing wrong legally for another Kikuyu to be president immediately after Kibaki but socially, it will be problems. He will live for fight another day. As for run-off it could go either way, with UK having a higher chance (44% tie with ICC on his back and no organized party yet) but against MM, RAO will be headed straight to retirement faster than he can recite a kitendawili.

The rumuors will start appearing in the dailies and before you know it he is out this must be an exit strategy by team uhuru deep down he knows kenyans cannot elect another president from central province.
it seems the purpose of the party is to have a united voice from central kenya in the next government
but again will he run for mp,governor etc, how will handle the G7 .
tough decisions for uhuru

these are rumors and should be treated as such.I think Uhuru would beat Rao in a runoff because those who dislike rao will not be thinking of tribe at that point, and i can guarantee you they are a huge percentage

And who are those supporting him in opinion polls, Ugandans? All these is just propaganda and opinion which may not be factual in order to destabilize his support. “People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one, and if you repeat it frequently enough, people will sooner or later believe it.” ― Walter C. Lets not sanitize MM's involvement in the PEV, MM was squarely in the middle of it (pentagon) during the 41 vs 1 propaganda machine. “People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one, and if you repeat it frequently enough, people will sooner or later believe it.” ― Walter C. ....I hope atakaa kidete na asimame tumnyoroshe!!! Hahahaha... I beg to differ.... If Raila's pentagon with 41 against 1 campaign drive could not out rightly beat Kibaki.... then you cannot say the in a runoff Raila will beat Uhuru. There is a high possibility Uhuru will beat Raila...if Ruto will still be on ICC trial. In fact the propaganda will be about how Raila has already ruled or misruled too... that Kibaki regime was not a Kikuyu regime but Luo-Kikuyu one. You can take that to the bank....lol

Pentagon had 5 skulls, where does 41 come from? @Tebes There has been talk that Raila may help Ruto to get out of the ICC trial If you were in Kenya in 2007.... the pentagon propaganda was .... about 41 tribes against 1....that 41 tribes were with Pentagon and 1 tribe - Kikuyu with PNU. I am saying... if at that time Raila could not beat Kibaki outrightly.... then it will be harder for Raila to beat Uhuru in 2013 elections run off... especially when people like Ruto (if Raila will not have succeeded in getting him out of ICC trial) would rather support Uhuru rather than Raila.... due to fear of what Raila would do if elected president.

In addition to the above....in case of a runoff, Uhuru-Ruto propaganda will be.... that Kibaki last regime was not a Kikuyu presidency.... it was a Luo Kikuyu presidency and Raila has also already ruled his part and his poor leadership style is already known.
so it will be highly likely that Uhuru would beat Raila easily in a run off. However if MM or Kalonzo and Uhuru are the ones in a runoff.... then it will be easier to bring together many tribes against Uhuru....
With the propaganda that ..."Kikuyus should allow another tribe to rule.... Kenya is a country of many tribes and another Kikuyu cannot be president after Kibaki".
