@guru, HF is a highly discounted counter with alot of upward potential. Watch H2 2012 and 2013. The only way i can predict for HF is up coz the rough patch is done.

... and not forgetting, we are the only bank so far enjoying sweet interim dividend

I do not mind waiting for my fat cheque from KCB at the end of the year...

Mathematically KCB has an identical dividend yield to HFCK so why invest in the latter??

If you are indeed a bank, you should know how harmful delaying cash is.

This share is UNDERVALUED. I cant believe how much it is undervalued. Mr market is selling at a low price. I estimate a conservative eps of 4.00 for FY 2013. conservative PE of 10. target: 40.00 of Q2 2014. That's a 154% capital gain.

I noticed this last week, but don't be too loud. If some people hear you here, you will be crucified.
Give it 3 more months it will be surprising looking back.

shares i believe its ok to buy even now. HFCK, KPLC.. didn't rally with the rest and undervalued.

Propagandist!

Payment date for the final dividend was on Friday and cheques were drawn and posted. EFTs have also been sent. Confirmed with the registrar.

Now we await the interim dividend books to close soon!

We have seen mild profit taking in KCB, Equity, Safaricom, EABL, and a few others that have had a good run this year. In the case of HF, what profit is there to take even if one bottom picked the shares. HF bus has not yet started the run. It will and some will be left crying.

Tell them @Aguy!

What some of us are saying which you have refused to admit is that HFCK is slow comparative to BBK, Equity, KCB, et all its brothers and sisters in the financial sector who paid guys in April (Equity), and the rest in May and June. Accept and move on brother.

What am saying is that HF, like all other financial institutions, gives dividend payment dates and honors them to the latter! I remember you saying that HF doesnt honor its dividend payment by 6 months. That was a BIG lie! Accept FACTS and move on mate.

the benchmark NSE-20 Share Index fell for the third straight session, down by 0.6 percent to 3,832.42 points. "Investors are still taking profit on the recent rallies, but at a slower pace looking at the volume, which was down 64 percent," said Ronald Lugalia, an analyst at Africa Investment Bank. He said the market would stabilise from more solid half-year financial results expected in the coming weeks. Shares in Equity bank, Kenya's largest bank by depositors and one of the most traded stocks, extended their previous day's fall by 3.4 percent to 21.50 shillings. fyi, Equity Bank stock has been receiving very unfavourable rating from many quotas of late.

This is how i see it. Interim div of 0.70. Fy div of aprox 0.80 or better! So buying at 15.50 one is effectively buying this share at 15.5-1.5=14.00. '"Discount"

Today this diamond is getting it in the chin. Must be speculators offloading after the book closure. VWAP @14.10 with a low of 13.80.

It has been discounted @16, 15, now 14 then 13s... Mr Market can be very irrational at times!

$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!
