Discharge certificate for land

Hey wazuans,am in the process of transfering a piece of land and has a charge to it.The charge is some 18000 shillings owed to settlement scheme but has since being cleared and have the receipts.However am yet to receive the discharge certificate two years on.I need it now so that the transfer can go on...please advice on the fastest way to follow up on the certificate

The party that gave the 18,000/= commences the discharge. I think you also need an advocate to endorse the said discharge but more importantly you'll pay some discharge fees to land registry. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

Have you been to the land parcel or you are doing the transactions from Nairobi? The brokers who were doing it for were able to do it fairly fast. Try, if you feel you are not making progress, I could refer you to them.
