I beg to differ. The attorney general is the principal legal adviser to the Republic of Kenya. He is a lawyer whose client is the the government of Kenya. It is not in the best interests of the government of Kenya to have an arrest warrant for a sitting head of state of a friendly country. He is doing his job. I think he is doing a good job because he is following the right procedure and respecting the law. He respects the decision of the court to issue an arrest warrant and is following the proper procedure to have that lifted. If he had no respect for the law or the people of Kenya he could easily have advised his country to ignore the court order and advise his client not to do anything should Bashir come here.

He is not doing this out of love for Bashir or because he thinks Bashir is innocent of the alleged human rights abuses and genocide in Darfur. He may very well hate Bashir's guts and even believe him guilty of all that he is accused of doing. I personally do not like Bashir and I think he is an idiot especially after those threats of restricting Sudanese air space to all aircraft from and to Kenya. He is however the legitimate president of the Sudan. I cannot think of a more blatant act of aggression than the arrest of a sitting head of state of any country. Sudan is our neighbor and it is in our best interests to maintain friendly relations regardless of how we feel about their president.

Instead of the fellow going for far off countries, why doesn't he start in Kenya. Where he lives and gets his pay from.

Let him work here to deal with Kenyan issues rather than waste time trying to get international limelight on issues he very well knows are of no consequence to the Kenyan being fleeced by greedy banks.
