Question fo the deal - Reading a bank's balance sheet

Hi @thedeal

Looking at BBK published financial today, is 728m on the income statement, down from 1.2b in 2010.

Where are the accumulated provisions over the years represented in the balance sheet?. I can see anything like this

Just look down to where the capital ratio's are.

This means that the provisions are off balance sheet. Does this then mean that the loans and advances to customers are net of provisions

The 'Advances' figure is net of provisions ( general and specific) Those should be the 'true north' value of outstanding loans'
