For a bond of 19yrs tenor, there is no way the coupon rate would be less than 12%.

Been swamped... Interesting IFB results was expecting 12.70 - 12.85 thereabout. All indications are that we will have high rates going forward. If you have extra cash park it here... It is good to see retail trade also growing and also guys doing it on their own instead of passing through intermediaries..
Stanchart is already offering the paper at a YTM of 12.30% . TBH I really really pity their clients. Anyway willing buyer willing seller. I believe they sell convenience according to them. To each his own.

T Bills rates going crazy.
- 182 days at 9.037%
- 364 days at 9.952%
I don't think that I have seen such rates before.
T Bonds and infrastructure Bonds also going crazy.
Is this sustainable by the CBK?
Any chance of CBK defaulting ?

The longer dated bonds even climbed past 15%.
Just go back to this same thread circa 2016, to get a sense of what the rates were back then. But it was for a very brief period though that the rates were this high.

1.2015.1 and 2.2015.1 had crazy rates I believe 19% and 22% respectively just around the time Chase Bank was going under ... Heeeh these guys have really fought the rates. With the small reopen for 25Bn hawataki rates zipande kabisa ... When you look at the price list you just wish you had money papers being sold at crazy levels....
