You are right, FB could be on its way down especially since US teens are no longer as interested in it. BUT, if it opens up China and starts monetizing in the developing and frontier markets, its a cash cow. So for now lets just watch it.
And welcome Twitter to the big board, hot damn, 95% gains in one day....super impressive, ka ching! I'm pretty sure its only the big boys who profited from this IPO since it opened at $45 and yet it was priced at $26!

Sub FB with TSLA and KNDI on the next discount they give. KNDI has more legs.

I’m excited to announce that we’ve agreed to acquire WhatsApp and that their entire team will be joining us at Facebook.

Our mission is to make the world more open and connected. We do this by building services that help people share any type of content with any group of people they want. WhatsApp will help us do this by continuing to develop a service that people around the world love to use every day.

WhatsApp is a simple, fast and reliable mobile messaging service that is used by over 450 million people on every major mobile platform. More than 1 million people sign up for WhatsApp every day and it is on its way to connecting one billion people. More and more people rely on WhatsApp to communicate with all of their contacts every day.

WhatsApp will continue to operate independently within Facebook. The product roadmap will remain unchanged and the team is going to stay in Mountain View. Over the next few years, we're going to work hard to help WhatsApp grow and connect the whole world. We also expect that WhatsApp will add to our efforts forInternet.org, our partnership to make basic internet services affordable for everyone.

WhatsApp will complement our existing chat and messaging services to provide new tools for our community. Facebook Messenger is widely used for chatting with your Facebook friends, and WhatsApp for communicating with all of your contacts and small groups of people. Since WhatsApp and Messenger serve such different and important uses, we will continue investing in both and making them each great products for everyone.

WhatsApp had every option in the world, so I’m thrilled that they chose to work with us. I’m looking forward to what Facebook and WhatsApp can do together, and to developing great new mobile services that give people even more options for connecting.

I've also known Jan for a long time, and I know that we both share the vision of making the world more open and connected. I'm particularly happy that Jan has agreed to join the Facebook board and partner with me to shape Facebook's future as well as WhatsApp's.

Jan and the WhatsApp team have done some amazing work to connect almost half a billion people. I can’t wait for them to join Facebook and help us connect the rest of the world.

Hisah what is this KNDI? Please give a short summary of which product or service they are in. Are their sales linked to social media, specifically FB? Its UP 15% and I'm interested but don't wanna be caught up in a bull trap!

Yani Hisah umekataa kuniambia what KNDI is? God is watching!
I am wondering why you included Tesla in your recommendations, at this point I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Its one of my biggest regrets, I was told about it at 20's and made the biggest mistake by not looking into it, so it would be way too painful to even dream of it at 200's. I honestly think this is the top for it, I would be taking profits if I had it. ION the party is at Fannie and Freddie, crazy momentum!!

Pole. Hadn't seen this thread.
The chinaman gubberment is in love with this stock as they promote elec cars. If you can tour Shanghai and see the smog, you will see why KDNI has legs... TSLA is not yet done. Elec cars and green energy/tech will be the darling stocks this coming decade.

As for fannie and freddie, these I call poker stocks which I can never touch just like FB...

OK thanks, I just didn't want to research a "dead" company, but now that you've mentioned electric cars and China together...smile But why would Tesla have legs? BMW has been producing innovative cars, in my opinion all they have to do is come out with a really cool electric car and Tesla will limp. I honestly think the only reason Tesla is soaring is coz Americans love American products, and Tesla is the only American electric car, I know there's Ford and GM, but they are not as innovative as Tesla. When the Germans respond to Tesla, I honestly don't see it living up to the hype.
I guess we can agree to disagree, FB has a great business model, if and when they open up China, you will eat your words. As for Fannie, money is money, whether from the casino or not, a lot of hedge fund managers are invested in it, that's all I care about!

I must admit it takes a lot of fortitude to not panic, but I may be naïve, but this looks like manipulation tactics. The stocks are making billions in revenue, are close to finish repaying their bailout and are generally doing well! If there was ever a time I wished Romney was in that Whitehouse!! This makes no sense, but the selloff is based on fear from a bill that will most likely be strongly fought and will take years to be resolved.

Research on blackstone, apollo, kkr and carlyle in relation to housing. Take your time, then when you find out you'll see the poker connection... The rate of IPOs with negative earnings is a party climax signal. While at it also try and follow the shale oil rabbit hole.

By the way you are right about Tesla, I was informed that its partly owned by Mercedes, so the gains are justified.

Blackstone and kkr are in a different category than Fannie, Fannie buys mortgages, packages them as bonds and sells them, that's not what kkr does. Anyways researching stuff right now will just make me fall into herd mentality. This type of massive sell off has happened before and the stocks rebounded, this is just manipulation.
