From the TV reports, I don't see this progressing well. Possibility of it landing in Court and getting stuck there for a while.

What is the way out? It appears, we should not have a provision for the citizens' views as most of the people having objections are former MPs, Aspirants, who appear to have personal interests. Some stating, "we need 2 more constituencies in our County'; no supporting urguments!

People will hardly agree on the review mostly due to political ethnic and 2012 election mathematics and not on the genuine necessity. Indeed we can do without an extra 80 mpigs and piglets.

the delimination by the Ligale commission was a very biased process. Why was for example Kikuyu constituency divided into three while Mathira did not get anything even after having more registerd voters. (I have given an example with central because the team was very biased against it)

with central getting 4 while rift valley got 26, there is outright biasness.....considering the populations.

Central [Province]; Rift Valley [Province]; etc are meaningless concepts in the Constitution of Kenya - they don't exist! So it is improper to use them as a basis of any comparison.

Also: the subdivisions is NOT based on number of registered voters! It is on the total population according to the latest available data from a census.

The Constitution divides the country into Counties. Forex ample, Kikuyu constituency is in Kiambu while Mathira is in Nyeri...

Nevertheless; when I looked at the names and populations listed in the press adverts, it appeared to me that all had the constituencies had almost equal populations - except those in Nairobi which had more.

But I must admit that this was just a casual perusal. Can @Burning Spear give the populations of the three new constituencies that were created from Kikuyu and compare it to Mathira.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
